The Kenyan media was once a very dull affair. The first news item from the national broadcaster had to be about what the head of state had been up to the whole day. This was followed by news about the vice president or any other politically correct prominent individual. A news bulletin was so predictable that many people would switched on their radios in the morning just to find out whether the president lived through the vagaries of the night. Thoughts of a dead president were not entertained by Kenyans as such an occurrence would have brought uncertainties that they did not want to deal...
