Nairobi city has been growing amazingly during Kibaki's tenure with spaces unimaginable only a few years ago. The middle class have been some of the biggest beneficiaries of the new dispensation with their own little spaces which include cocktail lounges, outdoor festivals and other social phenomena. Even with the progress, things aren't quite in the first world status and a lot more needs to be done.
